Can an m. catarrhalis bacteria in your sinuses go away on it's own? do people typically have this bacteria in then w/out an infection?

Yes...: Actually most sinus infections don't require antibiotics if the nasal congestions are promptly and adequately treated. Treating the nasal congestion allows air/oxygen to enter the sinuses and this actually kills the bacteria off and thus antibiotics are not needed unless severe! you always have bacteria in your sinuses, but typically in small numbers and dont cause sinusitis.
