A member asked:

Ques for a friend: menorrhagia, lots of cramps. previous c-section, tubal ligation, no bc needed. pros/cons iud vs surgical removal of lining?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Here ya go: Iud - in office, no surgery/or time - but may not solve problem. Endometrial ablation - quick outpatient surgery at least 50% likely to reduce or eliminate bleeding (and pain with it). Downside is it still is a surgery, even if so-called "minor".
