Incomplete thought: It is "never lay them down to sleep on their tummy".It is alright if they have tummy time awake.Studies have shown a decrease in 40% of the crib death rate in the us since the adoption of the "back to sleep " change.We are not sure why, and it is primarily for the first 6 months, but it does make a difference.
