No: Kennel cough is a very contagious upper respiratory infection found in dogs & caused by canine parainfluenza virus & a bacteria called bordetella bronchispeptica. It is not transmitted to humans.

Sick for the entire month of July now. I caught Human Parainfluenza type 2 which caused bronchitis and a productive cough. Finished 2 rounds antibiotics, amoxicillin then Cefdinir. Having tightness in chest at night & shallower breathing. Why is this?
