Is methorexate a form of chemo?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Methotrexate: Yes. Methotrexate is an antimetabolite drug used as chemotherapy to treat some forms of cancer. It is also used in much smaller doses to treat inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis and more. It has been used to treat arthritis for over 30 years. All medications can have risks but with proper monitoring most people do very well on it.
