Can you explain where did autism come from?

Genetics/pollution: Autism and its components tend to run in families. Parents often are engineers or belong to professions requiring close attention to detail, and not requiring the best interpersonal skills. The theory is that the genetics "prime" a person (fetus) and in some cases, an environmental factor leads to full expression. The exposure is usually early in pregnancy (day 23-30 post conception).
