Yes: But would limit the amount of alcohol intake. Although ethanol in the bloodstream has been shown to impair white blood cell functions, there has been no evidence that if the infection is being appropriately treated with antibiotics that there is a greater risk for failure. Alcohol should not be taken with some antibiotics, particularly metronidazole. Be safe, be careful.
