Except ativan (lorazepam): Risperidone is a very effective medicine for psychosis . Topmax is found to be a very promising drug for the treatment of alcohol addiction . Ativan (lorazepam) can be used only for prevention if alcohol withdrawal not for treatment purpose . We tend to avoid any benzodiazepines in people with alcohol abuse history because the combination is dangerous
