Yes: Asthma is an inflammatory lung disease. If not properly treated and triggers identified you can have an asthma attack that may result in death. If you have asthma you should see an asthma allergy physician.

Yes: Asthma comes in many forms.Some have it so mild they are never diagnosed while some end up in an ICU close to death in the first years of life and stay on meds for their life.Those with the worst forms of the disease are the most likely to die from an attack.Sadly,even with the progress we have made in diagnosis and treatment, the yearly rate of sudden death has remained relatively constant.
