Swimming: People with asthma usually can't tolerate prolonged and vigorous exertion. However exercising under 10 minutes can often be tolerated. Swimming has been touted as the best for asthma but there has been concern that chlorinated water may aggravate asthma. In general, i try not to discourage anyone with asthma from doing any form of exercise. A couple of puffs on albuterol prior may do the trick.E.
