Yes: Stress can cause a "vasovagal reaction" where your blood pressure drops, your start sweating causing dizziness and faiting (kind of like fainting when you get blood drawn in people afraid of needles) . Also stress can cause hyperventilation causing fainting, .

Sure can: This is the classic picture of "swooning" from screen and stage where the character, upon receiving some startling or otherwise dramatic news, faints, with dramatic music in the background, of course. In real life, this is caused by a drop in blood pressure due to a vasovagal response brought on by a strong emotional reaction. Very common and generally harmless (unless you hit your head!).

What is a contraction stress test?

Checking baby: A contraction stress test is done very infrequently. Oxytocin is given through an IV to cause contractions and then the fetal heart rate is monitored throughout. This is a way to assess the status of the baby. A nonstress test is a more common way of doing this. During a nonstresss test the baby is monitored without oxytocin administration.

Do I need to take a non-stress test during pregnancy?

No: Non-stress tests evaluate the baby's heartbeat. They are ordered if there is a medical complication with the pregnancy such as diabetes or pre-eclampsia or if your pregnancy goes past your due date. They are also done if you aren't feeling the baby move for more than an hour or two. If you have an uncomplicated pregnancy you will likely not need a non-stress test.

Sounds like . . .: Sounds like you might have an anxiety disorder, panic attacks, or possibly depression with anxiety attacks. You could get help by working with a psychiatrist -- along with a psychotherapist if the psychiatrist does not also do psychotherapy. There are very good treatments for these conditions.

Depends: Stress fractures are problematic mainly because they can be difficult to diagnose. As such, they may be initially under treated, thereby prolonging disability.
