It depends: Your question is too nonspecific. It depends on the type of arthritis, the joints involved and the severity of the involvement. The most common symptoms are stiffness, pain and reduced joint motion.

Joint stiffness: In general arthritis causes stiffness in the joints. Typically, it is worse after not moving around. So in the morning, the stiffness can be worse. Activity such as walking and swimming can make the joints feel better. Joint pain and joint swelling are other symptoms associated with arthritis.
