Joint stiffness: In general arthritis causes stiffness in the joints. Typically, it is worse after not moving around. So in the morning, the stiffness can be worse. Activity such as walking and swimming can make the joints feel better. Joint pain and joint swelling are other symptoms associated with arthritis.
