A member asked:

Will i need to keep taking fortical when i have absolutely no pain of arthritis or osteporosis.?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See details: Fortical or nasal calcitonin is a poor choice to treat osteoporosis as it generally has little or no benefit. You treat osteoporosis to prevent fractures as pain is not a component. Have the issue evaluated by a rheumatologist and consider changing to a more effective med if it is needed.
