Different approach: In a 40 year old with irregular cycles you should seek fertility care. Your spontaneous (successful) pregnancy rate is very low and you don't want to waste time. Also your miscarriage rate with irregular cycles is very high. I would proceed with an evaluation and your doctor can help you then with timing. With treatment you would ovulate cd 11-15 or so.
