6 Weeks: The healing process takes about 2 years for complete healing. However, you have enough strength, about 80%, after 6 weeks that we can relax restrictions. Similarly, when you break a bone, you generally wear a cast for 6 weeks.

Recovery: Typically have restrictions on lifting, coughing and straining for 6 weeks. However, back to work can be at 2 weeks depending on your post operative course. Check in with your surgeon, go to post op appointment.
