Usually: Your lash roots are in the right position but you have disordered the lash canals and so there will be some misdirection for a while. Eventually most will come in properly although you might be plagued a little by a few growing towards the eye.

No: The first thing you need to do is make sure that your trichiasis is not associated with a progressive scarring disease like pemphigoid. Assuming it isn't, these lashes tend to keep growing in the wrong direction. You can have them pulled out periodically when they get bad or there are some surgical procedures that can be done to correct the problem permanently.
