Not necessarily: A scaphoid fracture is usually benign and just takes time to heal while not typically causing a lot of dysfunction. As long as you won't be participating in any extreme sports you should be able to enjoy your vacation without a problem.

No: However, depending on how your scaphoid fracture is treated (cast or surgery) it will likely impact the activities that you are able to do on vacation. Also, you have to coordinate reasonable follow up.
