On thought on the : Matter. If you are stressed or anxious during the day, it may culminate with a lump or tight sensation in the throat. The best way to find out what is causing this is through medical evaluation.

Reflux: Probably is reflux but at your age it should be checked out by an ear nose and throat doctor. Do you have any other symptoms other than the knot in the back? Does it only happen with swallowing or does it occur all the time? Your doctor will look at the throat and mouth. The exam will likely include a fiber optic exam which is with a little fiber that is passed through the anesthetized nose.
