Clinic: Intrauterine insemination is another name for artificial insemination. It is a fertility procedure where sperm are placed directly in your uterus on the day you ovulate to bypass the cervical mucus or other blockage at that level. It takes about 15-20 min and is typically performed at a doctor's office or fertility clinic.

Where is an IUI done: An intrauterine insemination (iui) is usually performed in a reproductive trained gynecologist's office.. The process requires about 45 min of lab work to prepare the sample, i usually do two washes to remove prostaglandins, which if left in the sample will cause severe uterine cramping. The procedure is not much more complicated than a routine vaginal exam.
