If no regular period: One can do a urine pregnancy test 1 week after missing a period, or 3 weeks after sex (after presumed conception). If a normal regular period occurs, one does not have to do a pregnancy test. Be sure to read the instructions and do the test correctly, to get a reliable result. If done correctly and not too soon, then one test should be enough.
