Itch!: The best medicine for fiberglass "splinters" is protection. Tightly woven clothing, in layers, with wrists and ankle openings protected or taped to gloves and boots. If exposed, small pieces of fiberglass form tiny splinters that itch and hurt when brushed. Showering to rinse away as much as possible helps, but usually, time allows the skin to push the splinters out in a few days.
