Depends: There are two major tests for HIV - one is measuring the antibody response to the virus present and that can take about this time to become detectable in the blood, so there is a chance the antibody test may still be negative if the time of exposure is not certain. Another test would measure the actual virus in the blood (viral load). This test becomes + very early in the disease, so go for this 1.
