Bacterial infection: There are several species of pseudomonas that cause infections in humans. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is the most common. It causes urinary tract infections, pneumonia, chronic lung infections in patients with cystic fibrosis and bronchiectesis. It can be part of mixed infections in diabetic foot infections. It causes septicemia in neutropenic cancer patients and patients with central lines in hosp.
