Cramps: This could represent pre-menstrual symptoms. Not every menstrual cycle is the same for a woman. Avoid caffeine, salt, chocolate & alcohol. Exercise & get at least 8 hours of sleep per night. Nsaid's or heat may help with the cramps. Take care.

Period related: Periods can come early or late because of stress or hormone imbalance. Generally if one has cramps with one's period the occurrence of cramps is a signal that a period will soon follow.
