DEPENDS: First, find the cause! cirrhosis of the liver means scarring, and can be caused by many things. Treatment varies bc of this. Infections, usually viral, like hepatitis b and c can do it, as can some metabolic disorders that can be inherited. Toxins are also a common reason, and usually this is from alcohol. Most of all, prevent any further damage, since it is not reversible.

Cirrhosis: Cirrhosis means fibrosis or hardenig of the liver causing constriction of the biliary ducts arteries and veins causing shrinking of the liver and lack of its function as a laboratory that changes food and medicines in order to be useful for the body. Cirrhosis means destruction. There is no treatment for it but there is treatment for some of its causes like hepatitis b or hepatitis c viruses.
