A member asked:

What kind of pills or treatment can somebody get for chlamydia infections?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Several: Chlamydia are organisms which do not have a cell wall, and so are not susceptible to beta-lactams or other agents which attack the cell wall. Tetracyclines, erythromycin, Azithromycin and similar compounds may all be effective. It is important to know what infection you are treating, because if it was acquired sexually you should be checked for other std's.
