Hard to say: In theory, it should stop the period, and i would recommend restarting the pills - if you still want to use them and need them for birth control. That way you won't have to wait, and restart them again sometimes in the future. I would recommend using a back-up method for the next month (just as a precaution, technically, you 'should' be protected after missing only 2 pills, but why take a chance?
