Yourself: It is basically an xray type of procedure...So, bring yourself. You may ask your radiologist about preparation procedure, but there isn't much to this.. Good luck.

Blood tests: It is helpful to bring along any recent thyroid function tests, such as a TSH level. Also, any recent x-rays, such as a ct scan utilizing contrast could affect the scan. What has your diet been? This may be helpful, especially if you've been eating lots of seafood. Why are you getting the scan? Any information regarding the clinical question being asked would be helpful.
