Herpes in the vagina: Yes. That is why many females are offered c-section if they have vaginal herpes and are pregnant.

Can be worse: An infant can acquire the herpes germ in the birth canal from a woman shedding the virus and look normal at birth.Within a week or two, it may have made its way into the brain to cause a tragic encephalitis.Even with aggressive treatment the kid may end up with a brain that resembles swiss cheese.Plan a scheduled c-section prior to labor if you have it.
