Had 2 ultrasounds showed lots of big gb stones. had surgery, no stones! gb out beige/tan in color, could ultrasound be wrong x2 or did stones pass?

Ultrasound accurate: Your ultrasound is accurate. It does happen, the pathology exam does not include the gallstones. Sometimes stones are discarded/removed when the gallbladder is opened. Okay to ask your surgeon about this. The pathology exam is of the gallbladder wall, for diagnosis and to rule out cancer.
