A member asked:

My baby is 7 months and i still have to force feed her. she doesn't open her mouth to feed on any kind. i try to trick her and force the food? whyyyy

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No force-feeding: Babies do not need to be force-fed. If a parent thinks she has to force-feed her baby, she can bring the baby to the doctor and feed the baby while the doctor is watching (explain that this is the plan, when booking the appointment). In most cases, the baby is fine and will drink enough breastmilk or formula to grow normally (which may be a smaller amount of intake than the parent wishes).
