A member asked:

How do you clean out your liver?

You don't: Forgive my frankness. The internet is full of claims that people need to "detoxify" their livers for whatever reason. People who feel unwell (often due to undiagnosed physical disease or emotional / situational distress) are told the problem is "chemicals" or whatever and are given weird protocols and horrible things to ingest that can end them in the hospital. Ignore this nonsense.

You can't: Anybody telling you otherwise is either badly misinformed or trying to scam you. There are "liver purges" you can drink that can end you in the icu. We do live in a sea of unpleasant chemicals -- natural and human-made -- and the best you can do by your liver is to eat a healthy diet and stay physically (especially aerobically) fit.
