PPDs don't hurt: Tuberculosis skin tests only heard if they're positive and very inflamed. They may be red but a negative test for tuberculosis shouldn't hurt at all. If the skin for the test was placed feels hard and uncomfortable you need more tests.

Not sure if: You can suffer from a ppd. Ppd refers to purified protein derivative and is a screening test for tuberculosis. Either there is a reaction or not. If there is a reaction, classification of positive is dependent upon exposure history and underlying medical conditions. I am not sure that one 'suffers' from a ppd. Administration is not painful.
