Not usually: Some have told me they feel emotionally bland, but not truly emotionless. This can happen with ssri's, and the dose may need to be reduced. It can be tricky though, because many also experience emotional apathy when depressed. Working together is the best way to determine what's what. Antidepressants generally calm the more painful depression symptoms, allowing psychotherapy to proceed.
