No : They are 2 different disorders even though bpd has depressive states, it is different from depression. Bpd is one of the psychiatric disorders that has the most strong evidence of physiological causation. Medications for bpd and depression are different as well.

BPD: are you using BPD for Borderline Personality Disorder or Bipolar Disorder. Borderline Personality Disorder & a depressive disorder can coexist. There are bipolar depressive episodes and unipolar depressive episodes.
