Medications may be: Recommended for depression to treat neurovegetative symptoms (problems w sleep, appetite, weight, energy level, motivation etc.) medications work by correcting imbalanced chemicals in the brain. Sometimes talking therapy is recommended for depression. If medications are indicated, it is usually best to also include some form of talking treatment.
