SAFETY FIRST: No! virtually all antidepressants increase serotonin in the brain, which also would occur with 5htp. If you were to take your antidepressant and 5htp, you would risk getting serotonin syndrome, a life-threatening condition. If you are not well, talk with your md to assess alterations in your treatment plan. There are many options: other meds, tms, therapy, exercise...
