Not that much: It takes burning off 3500 calories a day to lose a pound. If you're average height at approx. 5 feet 5 inchses, you will burn off about 1700 calories a day with no food intake and moderate exercise. Plus, your body will enter a conservation mode quickly, that will limit the number of calories you burn off. A caloric restriction and three meals/day with exercise is much more effective.

Not a good idea: Starving yourself to loose weight is never a good idea. It causes breakdown of not only fat but muscle and once you start eating again you will gain weight back and maybe more. Goal of weight loss should be 1-2lbs/wk which is a rate that is sustainable and healthy for most people.
