What is the mechanism by which people who are anorexic or bulimic lose weight so fast?

You do not want to : You do not want to know! they are simply killing themselves, starving their bodies of important nutrition. Anorexia and bulimia are suicidal acts although until the damage is close to irreversible they cannot be hospitalized against their will. They usually are in denial and do not even see how imatiated they look.
