Probably contusion: You basically bumped it. It may swell and may bruise. Follow rice. Rest, ice, compression and elevate. If you skinned yourself, tend to the skin wound with a topical antibiotic (eg. Neosporin). Take an over the counter pain reliever for the soreness. If the pain lasts longer than 3-4 days and begins to impact your daily activity, get checked.
