Rare : Patients with fm often report upper and lower extremity tingling, numbness, burning, prickling, tickling, pricking, creeping or crawling sensations. Detailed neurological testing is often negative. Distal paresthesia can be due to small fiber neuropathy or other atypical demyelinating polyneuropathy. Emg/ncv & skin biopsy are easy & may provide more info.
