Yes but only if . . : Tests are only accurate when instructions are followed precisely. Home pregnancy tests are meant to be used at least 4 weeks after your last menstrual period. Assuming that you've had a period during the 7.5wks since last unprotected sex, test should be accurate. However, if you don't want to get pregnant, go see your family doc about starting contraception. And make him wear condom to prevent std.

Yes: A pregnancy test starts to turn positive about 2 weeks after your sexual encounter. So it should be very reliable at 7.5 weeks.
