Various causes: There are a number of things that can lead to easy bleeding. Some are problems with blood clotting factors or platelets (a part of your blood that stops bleeding). It is best to be evaluated for this problem by a primary care physician or a hematologist.

It usually is,: It usually is, but not always. There are many disorders that cause bleeing tendency, some you are born with, some you develop sometime in your life. But taking aspirin, for example may cause bleeding tendency, but it is not a disease. Similarly, when a person gets old, their connective tissue gets very loose, and lose its ability to tightly hold small vessels. This is not a disease.
