What could cause a chirping noise only in my left ear.. can it be dangerous?

Something in canal: There might be something in your ear canal. An insect, loose wax might be possible. Have your doctor take a look inside using an otoscope. Most importantly don't put anything smaller than your elbow in your ear canal. You could end up irritating the skin in your ear canal or puncturing your ear drum.
