Murmur: Heart murmur is just noise. If the noise is caused by a significant heart blood flow problem, that is what you need to know. Ask your doc what is going on.

No: A heart murmur is a finding on physical examination, not a disease. If you have severe heart disease that puts you at risk for death, you may have a murmur related to the heart problem, but you die from the heart problem, not from the murmur.
