It varies: Prostate cancer is usually one of the more favorable cancer sin terms of surviving this disease. Most patients live normal lives after treatment. Occasionally it can be aggressive, spread to the bones and can cause a lot of distress. But we have many good treatments for this type of cancer.

Varies: Depends a lot on the extent of the cancer and the treatment used. One of the most challenging issues, often ignored by oncologists (myself included), is sexual dysfunction caused by surgery, radiation or hormone treatments. If you are being treated for prostate cancer and have this problem, talk it over with your doc instead of suffering in silence. There are ways to help with this.
