Chemo does not cause: Why should chemo cause pain? It is just a medicine which is often given into a vein. Only needles to get into the vein can cause discomfort and sometimes, pain. The act of giving a drug into the vein is rarely painful. I would advise you to ask your treating team (oncology nurse/your oncologist) to give you the correct information, so that you do not have to worry about issues which are not real.
