Teen age weight: The best way to loose weight is with control of diet and exercise. For most teens the fastest way to do this is to cut out sugary beverages from their diet (soda, juice, coffee drinks, gatorade, etc). From one 12oz sugary drink each day in addition to all the regular foods a person will gain almost 20lbs per year! cut that out and fast weight loss. Healthy weight loss is 1-2lbs/week.

Is weight loss: indicated? Eat healthfully. Try to eat at least 5 servings of vegetables & 4 of fruit per day. Increase nutritional fiber. Avoid refined sugar & junk carbohydrates. Avoid alcohol, sweetened juices, soda & caffeinated beverages. Aim for 7.5 to 8 hrs of sleep / night. Hydrate w at least 64 oz of water / day. Calories burned must > calories consumed. Do both cardio & weight training.
