Yes: After a ruptured brain aneurysm, a patient can live a normal life after surgical/endovascular treatment of the aneurysm. It is important to secure the aneurysm and obliterate it to prevent a of re-bleed.Aggressive treatment up front to prevent potential causes of further insult to the brain are important-ie.Prevent rebleed, treat hydrocephalus, treat vasospasm (spasming of brain vessels post-bleed).
