A member asked:

What's the difference between depression and hormonal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I don't know what: "hormonal" means. Depression is a psychiatric illness. A hormone is a compound produced by cells in your body that influence that cell or other cells to do something. There are thousands of hormones, some involved in the abnormal brain chemistry that can lead to depression. Check w/your doctor and/or psychiatrist.
